Delancey case study
Delancey provides real estate related management and advisory services to a wide range of clients, and regularly undertakes investment projects.
Pilbeam initially concentrated on the following infrastructure and sales system projects with Delancey:
- Stabilising the infrastructure - stopping network failure and email downtime etc.
- Upgrading systems and facilities to manage existing requirements, and also provide for future growth - such as network components, file servers, PCs etc
- Increasing capacity, speed and functionality on internet and email systems, whilst lowering costs.
- Improving facilities for field based/travelling Executives, E.g. the ability to access emails and other systems from airport lounges, and wireless access from laptops when travelling abroad.
Having laid the foundations for a more secure IT environment, Pilbeam is currently working in the following areas:
- Back-up systems-to increase speed, capacity and resilience, to ensure full data recovery if required, and thus full business recovery.
- Home working for senior staff - allowing full access to office based functions from home.

Delancey have also chosen to use Pilbeam's unique consultancy service on an ongoing basis, whereby a Pilbeam consultant works closely with a Delancey Manager on a weekly basis in a mentoring role. This knowledge transfer and guidance ensures effective development and implementation of Delancey's IT strategy.
